Eden, Kai, and I took the Coaster with my dad down to Old Town for the Cinco de Mayo celebration. We had fun drinking horchata, eating Mexican food, listening to great music, and shopping. Thank you, Daddy for motivating us to celebrate!
Mormon Battalion
Visitor's Center
During Spring Break Matt took a couple of days off of work to spend time as a family. One of the days we went to Old Town with Grandma to see the Mormon Battalion Visitor's Center which was recently re-done.
It is so worth a visit! The tour is very interactive and you feel a part of history while learning about how the Mormons helped to build San Diego. The kids had a great time dressing up, "driving" a covered wagon, playing on the interactive computers, and panning for "gold".
After the visitor's center the kids rolled down a grassy hill with Matt. Then we headed over to Presidio Park for a picnic. We pretty much had the park to ourselves...until the forest animals decided to join us! We ended up sharing our lunch with some very brave squirrels.
It was a practically perfect day!
Coaster Ride to Seaport Village
On another day during Spring Break we took the Coaster with friends Kerrin and Tyler down to Seaport Village. We ate a picnic lunch by the water, climbed trees, rode the merry-go-round, had a Ben 'n Jerry's ice cream cone, and took the train back home. It was another practically perfect day!
Sea World
We started our Spring Break fun with a trip to Sea World!
Aunt Emily Lovies
Oh how the kids love their Aunt Emily!
Hilltop Park
"Da boyz" chill'n at the park during a family picnic.
