Eden's Baptism

Eden chose to be baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It was a beautiful day. I am so proud of her decision to be baptized and especially proud of the young lady Eden has become. She is such a sweet, caring little girl who loves to help others. She wants those around her to be happy and does all she can to make sure they are happy. She has such a fun personality and sense of humor. She loves to tell jokes and to try to sneak up on you and scare you. I am so blessed to be Eden's mommy. I am so thankful you are my daughter, Eden. I love you, sweetpea...your mommy loves you.

Eden on the Beach

Eden and I went down to the beach to take some photos for her baptism invitations. Here are a few of my favorites...

Eden Turns Eight!

My first born baby girl turned eight years old! It is hard to believe how quickly time has passed by. We celebrated Eden's birthday as a family by going to Eden's choice of restaurants, Chili's. Then the next day she had her birthday party at the bowling alley. It was a fun birthday weekend and she was a happy birthday girl!! I sure love this birthday girl!!!

Ear Piercing Rite of Passage

Eden decided she was ready to get her ears pierced. She has wanted to wear earrings for quite awhile but she was nervous about the actual piercing part. Well, I guess almost being eight years old has made her brave because she told me she was ready to go through with it. She said, "Mom, tomorrow I want to get my ears pierced!" She woke me up first thing in the morning saying, "Don't forget, Mom...we're getting my ears pierced today!" We had such a fun date, just the two of us. We went to the mall for the piercing, shared a lemonade and pretzel, and played with puppies at the pet store. I'm so proud of how brave she was...she sat in the chair by herself and didn't even flinch, let alone cry. You go girl! She loves her shimmery, pink flower earrings and has been showing them to everyone. I'm just glad she is happy and feels good about herself--that is what matters most to me. I sure love my sweet Eden.
